Because the Journey Matters...
TES offers several extra-curricular activities for students to get involved in. Many of the activities have been successful in meeting the students' goals. Some of these activities begin before school, some are during the school day, and a few are offered after school.
The following is a list of some of the activities and clubs that are offered:
Tarrant Elementary School Extracurricular Activities
Two students from each grade level are elected by classmates in the fall to serve as representatives for the Wildcat Council. The wildcat council will meet occasionally with the school counselor and principal throughout the school year and some service activities may be required.
Contact Ms. Mack (Counselor) for more information.
Students interested in joining the Reading club should contact Ms. Parsons (Media Specialist) for more information.
Each student at TES has the opportunity to participate in activities not provided in their regular classrooms such as Chess/Checker Club, Playdough Club, Friendship Club, Culinary Club, Science Club, Garden Club, Bug Club, Zen Club, Minecraft Club, etc. These clubs are led by members of TES and Tarrant Board of Education. Clubs meet once a month.
Activities that occur within the school day where rewards may be given:
At TES attendance matters! We recognize attendance by having perfect attendance parties/snacks each month and Mr. Womack has attendance drawings. Last year Mr. Womack gave away an XBOX 360! The student must arrive on time and stay for the entire school day. Please see the newsletters for more information regarding our attendance drawings!
Fall Festival/Field Day
TES has a Fall Festival and a Field Day each year. All students are encouraged to participate. All students are recognized for their participation. Please review our TES Parent Calendar & Upcoming Events section for those dates.
