Family and Consumer Sciences

  • Family and Consumer Sciences is a yearlong course designed for 9th-12th grade students. This course is designed to prepare students for the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social changes that characterize adolescence. Special emphasis is placed on the relationships between the students and their families, friends, and acquaintances. Topics include personal, family, and peer relationships; food and health, clothing, child development, housing, technology, and career exploration.
