For the month of February we are going to learn the importance of eating different colors of foods.
Did you know:
- Green - The fiber in dark green leafy vegetables help you digest your food. Dark green veggies are loaded with Vitamin A, C and K. Examples: spinach and broccoli
- Red/Orange - Vitamin A helps you have better eye sight. Vitamin C is important for keeping body tissue healthy. Examples: oranges, carrots, tomatoes and strawberries
- Blue/Purple - Blue/purple and white foods help fight inflammation and boost your immune system. Examples: blueberries, grapes, purple potatoes, blackberries, raisins, eggplant and purple cabbage.
