Hello, from Mrs. Fitzgerald!

I am more than ecstatic about being your child's first grade teacher! Through engaging, hands-on, active learning experiences, your child will grow and mature into the best person he/she can be! Please know that my door is always open to you. Through our combined efforts, the sky is the limit for your child!

I am a Louisiana native and LSU graduate (GEAUX TIGERS!). I taught pre-k and kindergarten in Texas and 6th grade at the former Tarrant Middle School (TMS). I was also the Alabama Reading Initiative reading coach at TES, TMS, and THS. I worked for the Alabama Reading Initiative as a Regional and State coach for 14 years before returning to Tarrant City Schools and 1st grade.

I have been married to Mike for 34 years and we have two grown sons. I love spending time with my family and dog, Wobbles, reading, working in my yard, and shopping.

I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning with your child!!!
