I am a native of Alabama, but went off to Mississippi for college and later moved to Seattle to teach.  While I was there,  I got my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.  After ten years of teaching in the classroom, I decided to make a change. I went back to school to get my certification in Library Studies at University of South Alabama and then moved home to Alabama. I am so glad I did!  Working in the media center is my dream job!  Since I've been at Tarrant, I've become a National Board Certified teacher.  This is my sixteenth year at Tarrant.
