Welcome to Tarrant Intermediate! My name is Ms. Shana O’Brien and I am the resource/inclusion teacher at TIS.

A little bit about me: I grew up in New Jersey until I moved to Alabama for college. I graduated from Birmingham-Southern College, where I majored in elementary and special education. I played lacrosse at BSC and I have coached Girls on the Run and lacrosse. I am currently attending UAB to get my Masters’ in elementary education. For fun, I love trying all of the restaurants in and around Birmingham. I have two big dogs and love watching football and hockey.

I am so excited for this school year! We will be working hard and constantly learning. We will also continue to build smart work habits and responsibility throughout this school year.
