CNP Magnesium and Potassium

This month we are going to learn about magnesium and potassium.  Did you know:

  • Magnesium is necessary for healthy bones
  • If you are having cramps it may be because you do not have enough magnesium
  • Foods high in magnesium are bananas, brown rice, almonds, baked beans and okra
  • Potassium is a nutrient found in foods, Potassium may help maintain a healthy blood pressure
  • Foods high in potassium are bananas, kiwi, tomatoes and oranges
  • Potassium helps maintain the function of your heart
  • Too much potassium is as bad as not enough potassium
