    The Tarrant City School's Child Nutrition Program (CNP) is commited to providing students with the best possible nutrients under healty and safe conditions.  We aim to nurture the development of our students by providing nutritious meals and to motivate healthy food choices.  The Child Nutrition Program exists to serve our children.

    The Tarrant City Child Nutrition Program (CNP) operates under the supervision of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).  All schools offer a complete breakfast and lunch meal each school day.  Meals comply with standards set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Alabama State Department of Education.

    Welcome back everyone! As a friendly reminder, Tarrant City Schools will be returning to charging for school meals this year. Please be sure to fund your student’s meals account by paying online with MySchoolBucks.

    Get Started Today:

    3. View cafeteria purchases and add funds using your credit/debit card or electronic check

    Offer versus Serve

    Food service is based on the Offer versus Serve (OVS) provision under the USDA regulations for grades K-12 for breakfast and lunch.  The regulations allow a student to choose fewer than all five food components in a reimbursable Food-based meal.  A student may decline two of the five food items for lunch and one of the four items for breakfast.
