The Tarrant City Schools Native American Indian Education Program offers cultural enrichment and educational support to its members through virtual cultural workshops, STEM opportunities, college and career preparation, and more. Established by the U.S. Department of Education, this program is designed to address the unique, culturally related academic needs of American Indian and Alaskan Native students. It provides support to all Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaskan Native students. The Tarrant City Schools Native American Indian Education Program is primarily funded through a Title VI, Part A grant from the Indian Education Office of the U.S. Department of Education.
Objective of Program

The goal of the Title VI Indian Education program is to provide culturally responsive education tailored to the needs of our Native American Indian students while addressing their academic needs.
Students in grades K-8 participate in Native American cultural lessons, featuring hands-on activities throughout the year. High school students in the program have access to valuable resources, including college and career readiness information, ACT preparation support, and scholarship opportunities.
