Multi-Tiered System of Supports
-
Tarrant City Schools implements a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to address the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of our students. MTSS is a data-driven framework that ensures all students receive the level of support they need to succeed. It consists of multiple tiers of intervention, increasing in intensity based on student needs.
Response to Intervention (RTI) is a key component of MTSS, focusing on early identification and support for students who are struggling academically. RTI uses a tiered approach to provide interventions, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
The Problem-Solving Team (PST) plays a crucial role within MTSS. This team of educators collaborates to review student data, identify challenges, and develop targeted intervention plans. The PST continually monitors student progress and adjusts interventions to ensure each student receives the appropriate support.
Through MTSS, RTI, and the work of the PST, Tarrant City Schools is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that helps every student reach their full potential.
