The vision of the Tarrant Elementary Library Program is to develop independent thinkers and lifelong learners. Students are college and/or career ready and able to actively contribute to our global society.
The media center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30-2:45 PM. Students may use the media center for individual checkout and projects. The media center is also a classroom where each class meets weekly for 35 minutes with the media specialist.
The media center has over 9,000 items. Our collection includes books, interactive books, DVDs, magazines, and digital databases.
Kindergartners may check out one book a week to keep in their classrooms. First and second grade students may check out two books.
Books are checked out for two weeks at a time. If a student has an overdue book, he or she may not check out another book until the overdue book is returned. There are no fines for overdue books. If a book is lost or damaged, the student is expected to pay for that item.
Our media center is a great place to learn and explore. Its also a really fun place to be!
