Kindergartners may check out one book a week to keep in their classrooms.  First and second grade students may check out three books.

Books are checked out for two weeks at a time. If a student has an overdue book, he or she may not check out another book until the overdue book is returned.  There are no fines for overdue books.  If a book is lost or damaged, the student is expected to pay for that item.

Our media center is a great place to learn and explore.  It's also a really fun place to be!

Louise Parsons

I've been the librarian at Tarrant Elementary for about 20 years.  In my opinion, my job is the best one in the building, and I love it just as much today as when I started.  My favorite thing about my job is sharing books with our students and watching them grow into excited, capable readers.
