My name is Ashlee James and I received my bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama and my master’s from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I teach all subjects in 5th Grade. Math is my favorite subject to teach. However, when I was in 5th grade, math was not my favorite subject. Reading was! I recently became certified to teach Phonics First and am excited to implement it in my classroom. Outside of elementary education, you will find me cheering on the Crimson Tide, continuing to learn the Spanish language, and spending quality time with my husband and daughter. I am very excited about the 2024 – 2025 school year and cannot wait to grow with the Tarrant Intermediate Staff and Students.
